Hector Alfonso Hernandez-Maldonado

I answer to Hector and Alfonso or any nickname you give me. I was born in Mexico City. At the age of nine, my family had the opportunity to move and live in Rochester Hills, Michigan. I attended Oakland Community College before transferring to Columbia College Chicago graduating with BFA with a focus on Graphic Design.

I decided to learn photography on my own after taking over my dad’s camera. Traveling throughout Mexico and the US led me to take a lot of photos. The comments from sharing these photos, motivated me to pursue photography seriously.

Adding my design and art background from school, I want to create images that are bold and impactful, simple and filled with emotion, true to my vision.
